A stretch of the Southern State Parkway has reopened after a serious crash late Sunday afternoon, May 19.

The closure in West Babylon, on the eastbound side, was at Exit 37 (Belmont Avenue).

The crash happened around 3 p.m.

The eastbound lanes remained closed for several hours during the accident investigation by police.
